I’m going to be using an original Moon Patrol panel on this cabinet. The plan was to have a wider CP, with different controls. The original CP had a lot of holes, so I thought I’d either make a new one or try to fix the old one. I brought […]

I don’t remember if I posted the coin door I refinished, but… I only wish I’d gotten pictures of it before I refinished it. It wasn’t hard to do. I got a bunch of surplus doors from Art Mallet in Mechanicsville, NY. I had a door that came with the […]
Even though there hasn’t been any activity on the site, I’ve been working on the cabinet. I actually had everything assembled so I could play some games, but I had to take it apart to paint it. Before Priming First Coat First a lovely coat of primer, then I have […]
The control panel is nearing completion! Over the last weekend we’ve been staying with Sarah’s parents in New York. Sarah’s father, Allen, is a master craftsman. He took what I told him verbally, and made the control panel come to life. I’ve taken many pictures of it, and will update […]
I’ve started work on a new control panel. The old one was just too small for two people to comfortably play at. I made it from an old entertainment center I no longer use. It’s still got some work ahead of it. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to […]
Scored another motherboard from a place in Hadley, MA called College Pro Computers. It’s an old Biostar motherboard. For $15, I couldn’t say no. It’s no way a means to an end, however. I’ve discovered that I can’t get it past 400MHz. Way too slow for games I would like […]
Well, I can now forget about using that POS PC CHIPS motherboard. The board has been tossed around a good bit since it’s purchase in 1998. It has served me well in all it’s functions. Well, I guess it’s been tossed around a bit too much. Two days ago I […]
Did some work on filling the holes in today. There were some numbers lightly stamped into the wood on the right hand side of the cabinet. I think it was the cabinet serial number, but the serial (AFAIK) was 879. The number stamped was 859, so I don’t know.
Bought a monitor over the weekend. A Hitachi 19″ from a computer show in Hartford, CT. It’s got a great picture. It was from a used monitor dealer, and was only $89.00. The only thing I don’t like about it is when it changes video modes, it prints the mode […]
I got sick of looking at the cabinet, and not working on it, so I splurged a bit. I ordered new T-Molding from t-molding.com, and it looks really sharp. I couldn’t believe how chewed up the old molding looked next to the new stuff. I’m also giving up on the […]
