Pictures

It occurs to me that I’ve never posted pictures of this one before. I want to sell it, so I cleaned it inside and out, rewired it to be *SAFE* (someone wired all the AC wiring to the isolation transformer) and changed the tube on the monitor back to the original since I broke the neck on the replacement.

The control panels aren’t on there because they were heavily scratched. They’re just aluminum plates held in place with some black silicone. I popped them out, removed the controls, and brought the panels to my neighbor Tim, who is a machinist. He filed out the gouges, then polished them. Finally used a Scotch Brite pad to make a nice satin finish. Gouges gone, looks great!

Spinners have always been problematic. Disassembled, cleaned, greased. Nice smooth action now. P2 side was a bit jerky, but cleaning the optics solved that.

Pretty much all that’s left is putting the panels back with new silicone and putting it on Craigslist. Though I love Arkanoid I just don’t have the room, and I need the money.
