They&#8217;re just aluminum plates held in place with some black silicone.  I popped them out, removed the controls, and brought the panels to my neighbor Tim, who is a machinist.  He filed out the gouges, then polished them.  Finally used a Scotch Brite pad to make a nice satin finish.  Gouges gone, looks great!<\/p>\n<p>Spinners have always been problematic.  Disassembled, cleaned, greased.  Nice smooth action now.  P2 side was a bit jerky, but cleaning the optics solved that.<\/p>\n<p>Pretty much all that&#8217;s left is putting the panels back with new silicone and putting it on Craigslist.
